Difficulty Rating: Easy

Distance: 1.7 mile loop

Th Songbird Trail is a nearly flat loop trail circling along the Little Conasauga River area where beavers appear to have been undertaking some serious dam construction.

Songbird Trail can be accessed from two points. One access is at its trail head along the service road. The other access to Songbird Trail is from the Lake Conasauga Campground via the Lake Conasauga Trail.

The trail head along the Service Road provides nearby parking and primitive restrooms.

Along the trail, hikers will find several signs detailing the local wildlife, as well as a few observation decks overlooking the ponds created by the dams.

After crossing over Little Conasauga  River by way of a low wooden bridge, hikers will walk near by the junction of Grassy Mountain Tower Trail and continue along the other side of the beaver ponds.
