Cataract Falls–Hiking in the Smokies

August 25, 2011

Length: 0.1 miles one way

Difficulty: Easy

Cataract Falls is likely the easiest waterfall to view within the Smoky Mountain National Park. The short 0.1 mile walk is located very close to the Sugarland’s visitor center. While the falls are not the most magnificent one will ever see, they’re located on such an easy, short dirt path it’s a great quick stop with the kids.

To the right of the falls, a trail continues 8.6 miles to Laurel Falls.
